Yemen: On December 9th of various years—2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2021—the US-Saudi aggression deliberately carried out brutal airstrikes targeting homes, markets, schools, infrastructure, farms, and vehicles in Yemeni governorates, including Sana'a, Sa'adah, and Hodeidah.

These airstrikes resulted in the deaths of at least nine people and dozens of injuries, mostly women and children. The bombings caused widespread destruction of properties, displaced families, disrupted access to clean water and communication services, and forced children out of school, deepening the humanitarian crisis.

2015: Tragedy Strikes in Sa'adah

In 2015, the coalition bombed the home of the Al-Hermas family in Sa'adah’s Haydan district, killing six and injuring eight others, including women and children. Nearby homes were heavily damaged, forcing residents to flee. The attack also destroyed the Al-Shawkani School, depriving students of their education.

2016: Attack on Civilians in Razih

In 2016, an airstrike hit a vehicle carrying qat sellers and nearby farms in Sa'adah’s Razih district. Two civilians were killed, and several others were injured. The incident caused significant material losses and spread panic among residents.

2017: Bombing of Khulqa Market in Sana'a

In 2017, airstrikes targeted Khulqa Market in Nihm district, Sana'a, killing one person and injuring several others. The attack destroyed property, disrupted livelihoods, and left families mourning the loss of loved ones.

2018: Child Wounded in Hodeidah

In 2018, a coalition strike hit the home of Ahmad Al-Nahari in the Al-Mughars area of Hodeidah’s Tuhayat district, injuring a young child. The attack left families traumatized and struggling to cope with the aftermath.

2021: Bombing of Water and Communication Infrastructure in Sana'a

In 2021, coalition airstrikes targeted a rural water supply facility and a communication network in Sana'a’s Revolution and Hamdan districts. The bombings caused multiple injuries, significant property damage, and disrupted essential services, worsening the living conditions of already vulnerable populations.

These recurring attacks highlight a blatant disregard for international humanitarian law. The intentional targeting of civilians, schools, markets, and infrastructure amounts to war crimes and calls for urgent international action to hold perpetrators accountable and address Yemen’s worsening humanitarian crisis.
