Four Israeli regime forces “fell during combat,” the army announced on Monday.
Further details about the circumstances surrounding the slain Israeli forces were not released.
Despite a ceasefire between the Israeli regime forces and Lebanon since November 27, the Tel Aviv forces have been continuously violating the conditions of the truce.
Lebanese officials say the Israeli violations pose a grave challenge to the fragile ceasefire that has been in place for less than two weeks as Israeli forces strikes continue to kill Lebanese people in the villages near the border in southern Lebanon.
On Sunday, three Lebanese people were killed in an Israeli raid that targeted the Debbin area in the southern town of Marjayoun.
“Three civilian martyrs fell in the Israeli raid that targeted the lower Al-Arid neighborhood in Debbin,” Lebanon’s National News Agency (NNA) reported from Marjayoun.
According to Lebanon’s health ministry, Israeli strikes on two southern villages killed six people on Saturday.
Media outlets reported four people were killed and six others wounded in a strike by Tel Aviv forces on the southern town of Beit Lif.
NNA said last week that the Israeli forces had conducted 129 instances of violations of the ceasefire.
Secretary-General of Hezbollah Resistance Movement, Sheikh Naim Qassem, said on December 5 that despite the dozens of Israeli violations inside Lebanon, the group is “giving an opportunity” for the ceasefire agreement to hold.
The Israeli forces stationed across southern Lebanon are required to pull out of the region within 60 days from the announcement of the ceasefire.
