News - Yemen: The Minister of Transport and Public Works, Mohammed Ayash Qahim, inaugurated the resumption of operations at the ports of Hodeidah and Saleef on Saturday, following criminal airstrikes by the Zionist entity. He affirmed the government’s commitment to confronting the Zionist enemy.

During a press conference held at Hodeidah Port, Minister Qahim stated, “We will target the Zionists at their vital and military headquarters, and they will regret it.”

The press conference emphasized the grave consequences of the Zionist targeting of Yemeni ports, particularly Hodeidah Port, which serves as a critical lifeline for the Yemeni people.

The statement highlighted that the four Geneva Conventions prohibit attacks on civilian objects, including ports. It condemned the targeting of Yemeni ports as an act of Zionist terrorism and linked it to the ongoing genocide in Gaza.

It further revealed that the attacks on Yemeni ports aim to harm a significant portion of the Yemeni population. The statement called on the international community and the United Nations to take responsibility for addressing the ongoing targeting of the Red Sea region over the past 10 days.

Earlier on Thursday, the Israeli entity launched a series of airstrikes on the Haziz and Dhahban power stations in Sana'a, as well as attacks on the Salif and Ras Isa oil ports and Hodeidah port, resulting in 12 martyrs and wounded civilians.

The Government continues its efforts to repair the damage inflicted on Hodeidah Port by Israeli aggression and to restore the port’s operations to normal.

On Saturday, maritime sources reported that civil defense teams successfully retrieved the marine vessel Abu Ali from the seabed. The vessel had been targeted by Zionist airstrikes last week as part of an assault that also hit the capital, Sana’a.
