He declared that any such attempts would be met with devastating consequences, promising that the aggressors would be buried in the sands of Hodeidah.
In a press interview on Saturday, Al-Qadri emphasized that Yemen’s operations in support of Gaza will continue unabated, viewing this effort as both a religious and national duty. He underscored that such operations would only cease when the aggression against the besieged Gaza and blockaded comes to an end.
Al-Qadri further highlighted Yemen’s recent successes, stating that operations within the Zionist entity, as well as in the Red and Arabian Seas, have fully achieved their objectives. These include imposing a naval blockade on ships destined for southern occupied Palestine and asserting military control over the Red Sea, Arabian Sea, and Gulf of Aden. He noted that Yemeni forces have effectively prevented the passage of ships linked to Zionist, American, and British entities, as well as those heading to the Israeli occupation.
He pointed out that Yemen’s Navy has brought an unprecedented end to American, Zionist, and British dominance in the waters of the Red and Arabian Seas and the Bab al-Mandab Strait. Yemeni territorial waters, he added, are now fully under the control and protection of the Yemeni naval forces, which have undergone significant development over the past decade since the September 21st Revolution.
Al-Qadri explained that Yemen's Armed Forces are now equipped to secure international shipping routes within Yemen’s sovereign waters and are prepared to respond to any threats. He outlined a clear principle of escalation: challenge met with challenge, retaliation met with retaliation, and peace met with peace.
Hodeidah and Yemen’s coasts, Al-Qadri stressed, remain a red line. With divine support, he affirmed, Yemen’s Armed Forces are ready to establish new equations in defense of the nation. He also praised the exceptional resilience and support of the Yemeni people in resisting aggression.
He further clarified that the US and British forces, despite deploying advanced fleets to the region to impose dominance, have been unable to overturn the strategic balance established by Yemeni forces under the leadership of Sayyed Abdulmalik al-Houthi.
Al-Qadri noted that, for the first time, the Red Sea—stretching from the Gulf of Aqaba to Bab al-Mandab—has become off-limits to the Zionist entity. This restriction applies not only to Israeli ships but also to vessels owned by individuals or companies affiliated with Israel.
This warning comes in the wake of recent Israeli airstrikes on Thursday targeting power stations in Haziz and Dhahban (Sana’a), as well as oil and shipping facilities in Salif, Ras Isa, and Hodeidah. These attacks resulted in the deaths and injuries of 12 civilians.
Meanwhile, a US official reported that the USS Mason destroyer has been dispatched to the region to provide assistance.
In parallel, US Special Envoy to Yemen Timothy Lenderking announced that the United States is working to form a broad maritime coalition "to protect ships in the Red Sea."
Additionally, the news outlet Axios cited US and Israeli officials stating that shipping traffic to the Port of Eilat has almost completely halted due to Yemeni attacks.
