News - Yemen: The Supreme Political Council condemned the Israeli airstrikes on Sanaa during the million-strong rally in support of Gaza, calling it a clear violation of Yemen’s sovereignty and a dangerous escalation.

The council warned that such attacks would not go unpunished.

It also expressed the Yemeni people's steadfastness and solidarity with Gaza, despite the ongoing bombing near their gathering sites. 

It urged the international community to condemn the escalation before it brings further destruction to the region.

The aggression has also targeted key civilian infrastructure in Yemen. The Supreme Political Council criticized the repeated targeting of the Haziz Power Station, Ras Isa Port, and Hodeidah Port, describing these acts as deliberate attempts to undermine Yemen’s support for Gaza. 

As the Israeli aggression against Gaza persists, Yemen remains firm in its commitment to defend its sovereignty and its support for Palestine. 

The country’s leadership continues to call for unity across the region to confront the ongoing Zionist-American aggression, emphasizing that the struggle for justice and freedom will continue despite the sacrifices.

Since Israel began its devastating war on Gaza on October 7, 2023, Yemen has openly expressed support for Palestine’s resistance against the Israeli occupation. The ongoing aggression in Gaza has claimed the lives of over 46,000 Palestinians, mostly women and children.
