These attacks resulted in 7 martyrs and 9 injured, including children and women, as well as the displacement of dozens of families from their homes, the instillation of terror among residents, restrictions on freedom of movement and shopping, widespread destruction of property and civilian assets, and shocking scenes that shake the human conscience.
Below are the key details:
2016: Aggressor Airstrikes Target the Homes and Shops of Civilians in Sa'adah
On February 2, 2016, the US-Saudi aggression recorded a new war crime by targeting, with brutal airstrikes, the homes and shops of civilians in the Al-And area of Sahar district, Sa'adah province. The attack resulted in extensive property destruction, terrorizing women and children, triggering waves of displacement and homelessness, multiplying suffering, and worsening living conditions.
In this locale, homes and sources of livelihood were turned into piles of debris. Residents, burdened with oppression, deprivation, and despair in a world devoid of humanity, witnessed scenes so unbearable that one man said he wished he were dreaming—even if the nightmare lasted—fearing to face the harsh reality.
2017: 5 Casualties in a War Crime as Aggressor Airstrikes Hit a Citizen’s House and Farm in Sana’a
On the same day in 2017, the US-Saudi aggression added another war crime against humanity by directly targeting, with its airstrikes, the house and farm of a citizen in the Qoqan area of Nahm district, Sana’a province. The attack resulted in the martyrdom of two individuals (one of whom was a child) and injured three others, in addition to destroying the house and causing widespread damage to the farm and adjacent properties, instilling terror among residents and forcing dozens of families to flee.
A child’s pure soul was spilled, his innocent face and beautiful clothes stained with his own blood, while his mother, clutching him to her chest, wept out her anguish and pleaded for someone to save her child. The scene was horrifying, the words harsh, and the emotions stirred the anger of every man and anyone with a shred of humanity. The ramifications of this crime continue to this day, while the perpetrator has yet to face just punishment.
2017: 3 Citizens Injured by a Cluster Bomb Explosion from Aggressor Remnants in Sa'adah
On that same day and year, a cluster bomb—remnants of the US-Saudi aggression—exploded in the Batin area of Manbah district, Sa'adah, injuring three citizens. This explosion caused both psychological and material damage, instilling terror among residents and restricting their daily movements. This war crime adds to the enemy’s record of crimes against the Yemeni people.
The effects of cluster bombs did not stop there; they extended to threaten the lives of citizens on their farms, roads, and in their homes, restricting movement, preventing livestock from reaching pastures, and depriving people of the most basic necessities of life. This constitutes a complete war crime and a blatant violation of international and humanitarian law.
2018: Two War Crimes as Aggressor Airstrikes Target Civilian Assets and Infrastructure in Sa'adah
On February 2, 2018, the US-Saudi aggression committed two heinous crimes in Sa'adah province. In the Al-Safra district, a series of violent airstrikes targeted the Froo Al-Sha’bi market, where citizens gathered to purchase daily necessities, resulting in one martyr and widespread destruction. The aggressor’s aircraft did not stop there; they also bombed civilian homes and a mosque adjacent to the market, leading to additional civilian casualties and injuries.
These horrific crimes committed by the aggressors against the Yemeni people must not go unpunished. The international community must bear its responsibilities and take strict measures to end this brutal war, hold those responsible accountable, and ensure that human rights organizations document these crimes and bring the perpetrators to justice.
2019: A Citizen Martyred and a Child Injured as Mercenaries of the Aggression Bomb Al-Hali in Hodeidah
In another crime by the US-Saudi aggression and its mercenaries on February 2, 2019, various areas in the Al-Hali district of Hodeidah governorate were subjected to heavy shelling with medium and heavy weapons by the mercenaries and invaders, showing no regard for the sanctity of civilian life. This attack resulted in the martyrdom of a citizen and injured a child, while instilling terror among residents, displacing families from their homes, and multiplying their suffering.
2019: 3 Martyrs and 2 Injured in a Brutal Massacre Targeting Citizen’s Car in Hajjah
On another fateful day of the relentless US-Saudi aggression, which shows no mercy, the Sabran area in the Bakil Al-Meir district of Hajjah governorate turned into a war zone, unilaterally, when the aggressor’s aircraft targeted the car of citizen Mu’ayad Al-Sha’mali. The strike resulted in the martyrdom of three innocent individuals, left two injured, and caused widespread destruction and heartbreaking scenes that stain the conscience of humanity.
As we relay this painful account, we send a message to the entire world: enough with the barbaric aggression against Yemen. Enough killing of innocents; enough destruction of Yemen.
