Russian Newspaper Highlights Yemen's Security Success, Intelligence Challenges for US and Israel

News - Yemen: A prominent Russian newspaper underscored Yemen's recent security success, highlighting the apprehension and dismantling of a cell operating for the benefit of American and Israeli adversaries.

In an article by the Russian newspaper Nezavisimaya Gazeta on Tuesday, it was emphasized that the US Department of Defense and British officials complain about the lack of intelligence data necessary for aggression in Yemen and for thwarting operations targeting vessels affiliated with Israel.

The newspaper noted that the continuation of the US-British military campaign in Yemen is hampered by the lack of intelligence information. American military officials cited this deficiency when assessing the impact of the international operation to protect navigation in the Red Sea on the military capabilities of Ansarullah.

Quoting American officials, the newspaper stated, "The US did not possess detailed information about the arsenal held by the Yemeni Armed Forces before the onset of collective attacks in January of this year", particularly after dismantling all clandestine cells and the waning of American influence following the ignominious retreat on February 11, 2015.

Yuri Lyamin, Chief Researcher at the Center for Strategic Analysis and Technologies, was quoted by the newspaper as saying, "Knowing that the Yemenis possess certain weapons is one thing, but obtaining information about the actual locations for their assembly, storage, and deployment is another. Thus, the US and Israel can assess the weapons held by the Yemeni Armed Forces based on their usage in previous combat actions against the US-Saudi aggression that commenced in 2015."

In conclusion, the newspaper highlighted Yemen's adeptness at concealing and camouflaging their weaponry over the years, acquiring skills and capabilities for transporting them without detection by adversaries. The report underscored the "Houthis' effectiveness" in safeguarding internal information from leaks.

Yemen's Security agencies, with support from the Ministry of Defense, have recently arrested several spies recruited through officers and members affiliated with an intelligence entity called "Force 400," led by the wanted spy for justice, Ammar Afaash.

The thwarting of these intelligence activities unfolds against the backdrop of continued US-British assaults on Yemen, as Sana'a supports Gaza's resistance in the Al-Aqsa Storm battle, with naval operations and airstrikes targeting Israeli occupation sites in Palestinian territories.

The disruption of these activities by Sana'a's security apparatus signals the military failure of the US-British coalition in Yemen, prompting them to explore alternative methods to undermine Sana'a's authority internally.
