Yemeni Foreign Minister Hisham Sharaf commented on what was stated in the speech of Saudi Foreign Minister, Faisal bin Farhan, at the 47th session of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. He described the Saudi Foreign Minister’s speech as falsifying the facts and an attempt to evade the Saudi regime from its direct responsibility for the disasters and tribulations that happened in Yemen over the past 6 years. These disasters affected the lives and livelihoods of nearly 30 million Yemenis.
Sharaf criticized in his statement, on Sunday, "the blatant Saudi interference in Yemeni affairs since 2014, and aggressive military operations since March 2015, and the imposition of an air, land and sea blockade, in addition to the collective punishment policy pursued by Saudi Arabia against the Yemeni people."
Sharaf noted that all of this "shows the basic cause of Yemen's problems, as Saudi Arabia has created the worst human-made humanitarian disaster in the modern world."
The Yemeni Foreign Minister stressed the Saudi Foreign Minister, “If Saudi Arabia is serious in its repeated speeches in international and regional forums and in the media that it is keen on the Yemeni people. Then it is better for it to support the efforts and endeavors of the United Nations to bring the parties closer together and support the economic process. And instead of forming a coalition of military aggression and imposing a siege and hiring mercenaries from all corners of the earth to kill the Yemeni people.
Sharaf renewed his call to achieve peace for all in Yemen, the Arabian Peninsula region and the Gulf, sitting at the table for dialogue and direct negotiation between all parties to end the military aggression, lifting the siege, stopping interference in internal affairs, and providing Arab and international support for the return of normal life in Yemen economically, financially and in terms of living." .
It is noteworthy that the Saudi Foreign Minister, Faisal bin Farhan, in a speech before the Ministerial Meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation on November 27th, said that the Kingdom was "exposed to hundreds of attacks by ballistic missiles and drones," accusing supporters of being behind the problems of Yemen.
On November 23, the Rocketry Force targeted Aramco's distribution station in Jeddah with a winged missile Quds-2.
