News - Middle East - Iran: The Iranian Leader, Sayyed Ali Khamenei, said on Friday that "The martyrdom of Soleimani is a historical event and not an ordinary incident that history will forget. Martyr Soleimani became the hero of the Iranian people and the hero of the Islamic Nation, and this is a fundamental fact."

Sayyed Khamenei added, in  Instagram that "Iranians are proud of themselves, a man, one of them, started up from a remote village, strived and built himself, turned into a brilliant figure and a hero of the Islamic Nation."

During his meeting with the organizers of the anniversary of the martyrdom of Soleimani and AlMohandis, and Soleimani's family, Sayyed Khamenei said recently that "the funeral of the Quds Force commander, Qassem Soleimani, and the deputy head of the Popular Mobilization Forces, Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis, by millions in Iran and Iraq, was the first blow to the Americans."
