Brigadier General Yahya Sare’e indicated on Monday that the Armed Forces are preparing for these operations.
“We are only waiting for the signal of the leadership, that will determine the appropriate time and place,” Sare’e added. “The blood of the martyr Al-Sammad will not be lost and will not disappear.”
Sare’e's statement came during an official visit of the Supreme Political Council, the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff Presidency to the shrine of the martyr President Saleh Al-Sammad on the third anniversary of his martyrdom.
Al-Sammad was the first president of Yemen's Supreme Political Council and an icon in the face of the US-Saudi war on Yemen. He played a key role in supporting the Yemeni Military industries that led to the capability of causing a heavy blow to the Saudi economy.
On the 19th April 2018, Al-Sammad, was assassinated when a US-Saudi air raid targeted his vehicle near the besieged port city of Hodeidah.
The Leader of the Revolution Sayyed Abdulmalik al-Houthi has said that Sammad's death will have "severe consequences", adding: "This crime will not pass without punishment".
To this day, Yemenis hold bitter resentment towards the Saudi-led coalition, and their Hadi backed "hotel government". Both over the ongoing aggression towards their nation but also for the illegal act of state terrorism, the assassination of their beloved home-grown hero.
Last year, the Armed Forces spokesman addressed the Saudi regime that revenge for the blood of the martyr President Saleh Al-Sammad will not be by a single operation, but rather a series of operations that will shake the enemy's thrones.
“Today, we will not respond to the threat with a threat, rather, we will confirm that our action precedes the saying, God willing, Yemenis do not and will not surrender, and the days will confirm that,” he said.
Yemen’s Air Force has stepped up the retaliatory attacks on Saudi Arabia in recent months, saying the strikes will continue as long as Riyadh carries on with its airstrikes and blockade.
The last operation was carried out on Saturday targeting King Khalid Air Base with ‘precision,’ with a domestically-manufactured Qasef-2K combat drone. Sare'e said a ‘sensitive target’ had been successfully bombarded. He reiterated that the Riyadh regime’s ongoing campaign and crippling blockade against Yemen gave the Armed Forces grounds for retaliation.
