News - Yemen: The media sector of the General People's Congress condemned the US administration's seizure of the Almasirah Net website, considering it a clear suppression of freedom of opinion and expression.
The conference's media sector indicated in a statement that banning the Almasirah Net website reveals the falsehood of the slogans of democracy and freedom of opinion and expression that the US claims to defend.
The statement explained that the ban was used in attempts to cover up the crimes of the US-Saudi aggression and silence the national media platforms that exercise their right to expose these crimes and violations.
It called on press and media unions, and all organizations concerned in supporting freedom to condemn, reject and stand against this hostile act.
