Red Sea Ports Confirm Technical Readiness to Receive Commercial, Container Ships
News-Yemen: The Vice Chairman of Board of Directors of Red Sea Ports Corporation, Engineer Yahya Sharaf El-Din, confirmed, Saturday, the technical readiness of Red Sea ports to receive commercial ships and container ships.
Sharaf said in a statement said that "the port of Hodeidah is technically ready to receive container ships, noting that the Yemeni Red Sea Ports Corporation will provide all facilities."
He pointed out that ports under the control of the occupation do not operate according to specific regulations and systems, but are subject to the management of the occupier, who controls the quality of imports to them.
He pointed out that large population density is within the geographical framework of the Yemeni Red Sea Ports Corporation.
He stated that the customs tariff in the port of Hodeidah is much lower than the customs tariff in the ports under the control of the occupation, explaining that the costs of marine insurance and transportation from the port of Aden are very high and are borne by the Yemeni citizen.
