Guterres Remark Is Politically Motivated, Came at Behest of US-Saudi Aggression

News-Yemen: Member of Supreme Political Council, Mohammed Ali Al-Houthi, dismissed remarks made by the UN secretary-general in response to the execution of nine men involved in the assassination of the martyr president Saleh Al-Sammad.

Taking strong umbrage at a statement from Antonio Guterres, Mohammed Ali al-Houthi called it “politically motivated”.

He explained, Sunday, that the UN chief’s statement came at the behest of “aggressor countries”, because of their “close connection” with the diabolical crime, accusing them of “financing and planning it”. the US-Saudi coalition countries admitted this and stated that they relied on their mercenaries on the ground in determining the target.

He pointed out that the judiciary of the Republic of Yemen rules through a published legal reference, noting that Guterres's suspicion is politicized and rejected and is not based on any evidence and facts.

The statements of Member of Al-Houthi Supreme Political Council come in response to the statement of the Secretary-General of UN, who questioned the integrity of the judiciary and the death sentence issued against those involved in the assassination of the martyr President Saleh Al-Sammad.

President Al-Sammad, accompanied by at least six escorts, was killed in an airstrike by the Saudi-led military coalition during his visit to the coastal city of Hudaydah on April 23, 2018.

Yemen’s government announced that the nine men were charged and convicted for their complicity in the crime, including spying and sharing sensitive information with the Saudi-led coalition.

They were sentenced to death by a criminal court in Hudaydah, and executed publicly on Saturday in the capital Sana’a.
