News – Yemen: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Rashid Abu Lahoum confirmed that Britain is participating in the war against the Yemeni people through its tools and is leading the economic war.

He considered the decision of the Bank of England to grant the Central Bank branch in Aden the authority to dispose of our funds frozen in it since 2016, a politicized decision.

He told Al-Masirah, Wednesday, that  we asked the British Bank not to dispose of the seized Yemeni bank funds, noting that the Bank of England's enabling of mercenaries to dispose of the frozen funds comes in the context of using economic and monetary war tools in light of the collapse of mercenaries on the ground.

He explained that Britain is responsible for the economic war and is the one who is running this war on our country, pointing out: "Britain took the file of the economic war, making the printing of counterfeit currency."

The Minister of Finance considered that the Bank of England took this step in response to the achievements of the Army and the Popular Committees, stressing that the Bank of England's decision is politicized and the Yemeni people will not benefit from it.
