News – Middle East: The Yemeni ambassador in Damascus, Abdullah Sabri, condemned the "terrorist" bombing in the Syrian capital Wednesday morning, expressing his condolences to the Syrian leadership and people.

 Ambassador Sabri indicated that the "terrorist" operation that targeted a military tanker bears the American imprint, in an attempt to obstruct the path of international and regional openness to the Syrian state.

The Political Bureau of Ansarullah also condemned the criminal bombing in the Syrian capital, Damascus, which left 14 martyrs and a number of wounded.

In a statement, the Political Bureau of Ansarullah said, "It has begun to be clear that the achievements being made on the ground disturb Syria's enemies, and they are trying, with crimes of treachery, to destabilize security and stability in the country."

The statement considered that what was not achieved for the enemies of Syria in the past, "will not be achieved for them now and in the future thanks to the awareness of the Syrian people and their standing behind their leadership and with their state and government in the face of all challenges."

The Political Bureau of Ansarullah extended its deepest condolences to the families of the martyrs, asking God Almighty for a speedy recovery to the wounded.

More than a dozen people have lost their lives and several others sustained injuries when two roadside bombs exploded near a bus carrying military personnel in the Syrian capital city of Damascus. 
Since 2011, Syria has been gripped by foreign-backed militancy, leading to the emergence of Daesh and other terrorist groups in the Arab country.

The Syrian government has repeatedly condemned the US and the EU for waging economic terrorism on the country through their unilateral sanctions, holding them responsible for the suffering of the Syrian people, especially now that the country is grappling with a deadly coronavirus outbreak.
Damascus has also been critical of the United Nations for keeping silent on the destructive role of the US and EU, among other parties supporting terrorism in Syria
