News - Yemen:  The Member of the Supreme Political Council, Mohammad Al-Houthi, condemned the briefing given by the United Nations envoy to Yemen, Hans Grundberg, Tuesday, to the Security Council regarding the situation in Yemen.

"The battle did not stop, only the aggression failed in its attack on the capital, and its aggression, siege and bombardment are still ongoing", Al-Houthi wrote on his Twitter account.

“But members of the Security Council are participating in the aggression, as if the Saudi-led military operations have ended", he added. “The statements and briefings of the UN envoy condemn the victim and stand with the aggression,” he said.

Since day one, the new envoy is facing a dead end, due to the complexities of the Yemeni scene, the growing influence of the parties to the conflict regionally and internationally.

As a result, the new UN envoy cannot achieve any success; Because the US will not allow the peace in Yemen which opposes its interests in the region. And in the end, the issue of appointing UN envoys to Yemen will remain an international game in which they laugh at the world, while the Yemeni people suffer from the worst and largest humanitarian crisis in contemporary history.

In addition to the American action, the UN efforts are not in the interest of achieving sustainable peace, but rather come in the context of supporting the US-Saudi agenda, what Washington puts on the table and the UN repeats as if its envoys were mere messengers to the countries of aggression, not as a neutral mediator.
