News - Yemen: A major tweet campaign will be launched on the social networking site (Twitter) Thursday, to highlight and expose the US’s role in the aggression against Yemen and its obstruction of peace.

The organizers stressed the importance of the wide participation in the campaign, to expose the US, which claims to be a sponsor of peace, while it is the first enemy of peace in the world

They chose the hashtag #USAEnemyOfPeace to be used in the campaign.

Dozens of martyrs and wounded are the outcome of the recent US-Saudi escalation. Several massacres in which a map of Yemeni bloodshed was distributed from Sa’adah in the far north to the coasts of the Red Sea in Hodeidah. 

Every day, the area of Yemeni blood is expanding as a result of US’s support and cover and UN complicity with the US-Saudi aggression and its tools.

Since the beginning of this month, the aggression warplanes have launched nearly 450 air raids, as a result of which, 36 citizens were killed, including children and women, and 82 were wounded.

Women, Children Mostly Affected

The continuation of the US-Saudi aggression and siege on the airport and port, negatively affected all the Yemenis and more specifically the Yemeni women and children.

The air, water and food of Yemenis have become polluted due to toxic gases from weapons and forbidden germ bombs dropped by US-Saudi warplanes on Yemen, indicating that Yemen is suffering from the worst epidemic disaster.

The United Nations recognized in its report issued last November, that a Yemeni child under the age of five dies every 9 minutes due to the war, the lack of food, clean water and health care, and the deterioration of various basic services.

As for UNICEF statistics for the year 2020, it confirms that 7 million and 400,000 people suffer from malnutrition, including 2 million children under the age of five.

The World Food Program also indicated a significant increase in severe acute malnutrition rates by 16-22% during the current year, between Children under the age of five during the past year, and the catastrophe is the fact that the United Nations and international organizations did not move a finger to stop the war.
