"As long as the aggression against us continues, we will continue to respond, and this is a defensive and legitimate position," Abdusalam told Al-Masirah Network. "If the UAE decides not to be targeted, it should not target others, and when the enemy stops attacking our country, only then do our retaliatory attacks stop."
He added that the Security Council is governed by American interests, and the latest statement did not bring anything new. "The Arab League has become an office affiliated with the Saudi embassy in Egypt."
Abdulsalam pointed out that the Arab peoples support Yemen and "there are some courtesies and mutual benefits within the framework of marginal positions that will not affect us."
The head of the National Delegation considered that "ballistic missiles could not be intercepted by Patriots. Otherwise, why did they wait for them to reach over their heads in Abu Dhabi?"
He believed that the designation of Ansarullah as a terrorist organization is linked to American interests and is not subject to the desires of Saudi Arabia and the UAE, and this designation is of no value and will never affect the course of the battle.
"We did not target the UAE during the years when it did not lead a military escalation in Yemen, and when it came back, we came back," Abdulsalam affirmed, considering that the UAE position is wrong by all accounts, as it is blatantly interfering in Yemen without justification.
The head of the National Delegation indicated that the Emirati escalation came as a result of the American and Israeli push and an attempt to complete control of the south.
Speaking in an interview with Lebanon's al-Mayadeen television network, Abdusalam stressed that the UAE cannot tolerate missile attacks as it is a small state relying on security, economy and relations, and includes a grouping of international companies operating in the region.
"The UAE is a state without depth, therefore, if the UAE loses its security, the state, prestige and everything will be lost," he added. "We were counting on the UAE to take a clear position, after it twice announced its withdrawal from Yemen."
Abdulsalam said the UAE "unjustly and slanderously attacked Yemen, and it must bear the consequences of its action. The Yemeni response will continue, God willing, and will not stop as long as there is a raid on Yemen."
The spokesman for Yemeni Armed Forces Brigadier General Yahya Sare'e stated at a press conference in the capital Sana’a on Monday that Yemeni Army had hit al- Dhafra Air Base, located approximately 32 kilometers (20 miles) south of Abu Dhabi, as well as other designated sites on the outskirts of the Emirati capital with barrages of Zulfiqar ballistic missiles during Operation Yemen Hurricane II (E'sar Al-Yemen 2).
Sare'e noted that important targets in Dubai were struck with indigenous long-endurance Sammad-3 unmanned aerial vehicles.
The senior military official went on to say that Yemeni Armed Forces also used squadrons of Sammad-1 and Qasef-2K combat drones to hit a number of military camps in the Sharurah town of Saudi Arabia’s southern region of Najran.
“Additionally, a number of vital targets and strategic sites in [the kingdom’s] Jizan and ‘Asir regions were targeted with several ballistic missiles,” Sare'e said, emphasizing that the designated locations were hit with high precision.
