News - Yemen: The US-Saudi-Emirati aggression re-targeted communication towers in Dhamar Governorate, at dawn Wednesday.

Almasirah Net correspondent in Dhamar reported that the aggression aircraft targeted a communications tower next to Dhamar University.

He added that the US-Saudi-Emirati aggression also targeted a communications tower in Azzan mountain and another in Aiwa mountain in the Atma district.

On Tuesday, the aggression warplanes destroyed, with four raids, communications towers in the Al-Kumaim area in Al-Hada district.

Recently, the aggression has deliberately targeted communications towers in several governorates, which led to the interruption of communications service in large areas in those governorates.

The US-Saudi aggression bombed a telecommunications hub in Yemen’s port city of Hodeidah last week, leading to a nationwide internet blackout.

The incident has severely limited independent media and human rights monitoring efforts. Observers say the attack appears to be a deliberate move by the coalition of aggression to keep the world in the dark about the extent of death and destruction resulting from its airstrikes in Yemen.   

Saudi Arabia, backed by the United States and regional allies, launched the war on Yemen in March 2015, with the goal of bringing the government of former Yemeni president Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi back to power.

The war has left hundreds of thousands of Yemenis dead and displaced millions more. It has also destroyed Yemen’s infrastructure and spread famine and infectious diseases there.

Despite heavily-armed Saudi Arabia’s incessant bombardment of the country, the Yemeni Armed Forces have grown steadily in strength against the US-Saudi invaders and left Riyadh and its allies bogged down in the country.
