US-Saudi Aggression Violates Humanitarian Truce in 550 Incidents

News - Yemen: The US-Saudi aggression and its mercenaries continued to violate the humanitarian and military truce with 550 attacks during the last 96 hours.

A military source revealed that US-Saudi violations in the last 24 hours included flying 40 spy drones over Marib, Al-Jawf, Taiz, Hajjah, Sa'adah, Lahj and border frontlines. The US-Saudi spy drones launched nine raids on Yemeni Army and Popular Committees sites in Al-Dhale'e and Marib governorates.

The source pointed out that US-Saudi mercenaries developed three new military fortifications in Marib and Taiz governorates. They staged 15 attacks with artillery shells in AL-Balag and Serwah districts in Marib governorates.

The source stated that US-Saudi mercenaries staged 58 attacks with live bullets in Marib, Taiz, Al-Jawf, Sa'adah, Lahj, Al-Dhale'e, Al-Baidha'a and border frontlines.

It is worth mentioning that US-Saudi forces staged 431 violations by US-Saudi forces and mercenaries during the past three days, since the entry into force of the humanitarian and military truce.

Recently, the UN special envoy for Yemen Hans Grundberg announced the ceasefire on Friday, saying the two-month truce would come into effect on Saturday at 07:00 p.m. local time (1600 GMT) on Saturday and could be renewed with consent of the parties, Reuters reported.

The deal stipulates halting offensive military operations, including cross-border attacks, and allowing fuel-laden ships to enter Yemen’s lifeline al-Hudaydah port and commercial flights in and out of the airport in the capital Sana’a "to predetermined destinations in the region."

Saudi Arabia, backed by the United States and regional allies, launched the war on Yemen in March 2015, claiming the goal of bringing the government of former Yemeni president Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi back to power.

The US-Saudi aggression continues to target neighborhoods and populated areas and destroy the infrastructure and capabilities of the country, in light of a suspicious international silence.

The war has left hundreds of thousands of Yemenis dead and displaced millions more. It has also destroyed Yemen’s infrastructure and spread famine and infectious diseases there.
