US-Saudi Aggression Violates UN Truce in More 1000 Incidents

News - Yemen: The US-Saudi aggression and its mercenaries continued to violate the humanitarian and military truce with 1068 incidents during the last 216 hours.

A military source revealed that US-Saudi violations in the last 24 hours amounted to 79 violations, the flight of Apache warplanes in the skies beyond the border and flying 33 spy drones over Marib, Taiz, Al-Jawf, Hajjah, Sa'adah, Al-Baidah, Al-Dhale’e, Lahj and Al-Hodeidah.

The source indicated that the fighting drones launched a raid on the homes of citizens and the sites of the army and popular committees in Al-Kadha area of Taiz governorate.

The source pointed out that US-Saudi aggression developed new military three fortifications in Al-Balaq Al-Qibli of Marib governorate, next to Qataba police station in Al-Dhale'e governorate, and Tabat Al-Safina of Taiz governorate.

It also pointed out that US-Saudi aggression six missile and artillery shells of the coalition forces were recorded, in addition to three Katyusha missile targeting army and popular committee sites in Serwah, Marib Governorate.

The source stated that US-Saudi aggression staged 34 attacks with live bullets in Marib, Taiz, Al-Jawf, Lahj, Al-Baidah, Al-Dhale'e and Al-Hodeidah.

It is worth mentioning that US-Saudi forces staged 989 violations by US-Saudi forces and mercenaries, since the entry into force of the humanitarian and military truce.

Recently, the UN special envoy for Yemen Hans Grundberg announced the ceasefire on Friday, saying the two-month truce would come into effect on last Saturday and could be renewed with consent of the parties, Reuters reported.

The deal stipulates halting offensive military operations, including cross-border attacks, and allowing fuel-laden ships to enter Yemen’s lifeline al-Hudaydah port and commercial flights in and out of the airport in the capital Sana’a "to predetermined destinations in the region."

Saudi Arabia, backed by the United States and regional allies, launched the war on Yemen in March 2015, claiming the goal of bringing the government of former Yemeni president Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi back to power.

The US-Saudi aggression continues to target neighborhoods and populated areas and destroy the infrastructure and capabilities of the country, in light of a suspicious international silence.

The war has left hundreds of thousands of Yemenis dead and displaced millions more. It has also destroyed Yemen’s infrastructure and spread famine and infectious diseases there.
