News - Yemen: The Yemeni unity is the destiny of the Yemenis and places all the free people of the homeland before a historical and national responsibility to preserve it from foreign conspiracies, says the Governor of Hadhramaut.

Luqman Baras explained that the anniversary of the historic day, National Unity Day, comes this year while many foreign conspiracies have been exposed in the southern provinces. 

“The coalition of aggression is working to partition the country to facilitate control of its resources and wealth,” he added.
 
Baras considered national unity an important national gain that cannot be compromised or traded by any mercenary and agent.
 
The Governor of Hadhramaut called on all the free people of the south to cooperate with the Army and Popular Committees to liberate the entire Yemeni lands from the forces of invasion and occupation.

Meanwhile, Shabwa Governor affirmed that Yemeni unity restored the dignity and historical consideration to the Yemeni people, and paved the way for restoring the civilizational cycle in building their one homeland.
 
“The 22nd of May 1990, expressed the popular will of the people of Yemen, and the sacrifices made by the fighters in order to achieve national cohesion, so that Yemen, with its unity, would be a great force and a factor of stability for its Arab and regional surroundings,” Farid Al-Awlaki added.
 
He considered confronting the coalition of aggression and liberating the occupied provinces as one of the most honorable Yemeni battles in contemporary history until victory and national independence are achieved. He called on the people of the southern provinces to preserve national unity and protect it from the greed and tools of the occupation.
 
Governor Al-Awlaki indicated that the Qur’anic path aims as a comprehensive project for the nation, to preserve the unity of Yemen, land and people, and to solve the southern issue on the basis of justice and equality.
 
He called on the Yemeni people to unite their ranks to confront the coalition of aggression, considering unity as strength and pride, in contrast to weakness, diaspora and absurd conflicts.
 
Al-Awlaki hoped that the anniversary of the celebration of national unity would come next time with every inch of the land of Yemen had been liberated from the filth of the invaders and occupiers, and that the construction of the one Yemeni state would proceed with steady steps towards the future and a decent life for all the people.

National Unity Day is a national holiday in Yemen held on May 22. It commemorates the unification of North Yemen and South Yemen, which took place on this date in 1990.
