Sana'a Condemns Saudi-led Aggression for Preventing Fishermen from Sailing off Shabowa's Coast

News - Yemen: The Minister of Fisheries, Mohammad Al-Zubayri, condemned the harassment of fishermen in Shabwa governorate and the preventing them of fishing in the waters of the governorate by US-Saudi aggression.

In a statement to September 26 newspaper, Al-Zubayri said, "The US-Saudi aggression and its mercenaries prevented the fishermen from carrying out their normal activities in the areas of Al-Nashima and Arqa in Shabwa, after the events that the governorate witnessed."

Al-Zubayri added, "The mercenaries of the aggression force the fishermen to load weapons on their boats and expose them to dangers, which prompted the fishermen to gather and reject this barbaric behavior by the aggression and its mercenaries."

The Minister of Fisheries denounced what the fishermen are subjected to in the areas under occupation of abuse and looting of their equipment.

Last Monday, the Islah-backed governor in Shabwa, Mohammed Saleh Udayo, commented on the killing of a prominent leader in the confrontations that erupted between the Special Forces and the UAE militia in Ataq.

The US-Saudi Aggression overthrew Governor Ben Adyo at the end of last December, after summoning him to Riyadh, and appointing the leader of the Congress Party returning from Abu Dhabi.

"The dismissed military leaders, whose forces control most of the city of Ataq, rejected the decisions of Rashad Al-Alimi to dismiss them, and considered him biased towards the transitional council," sources said. These sources added that Islah's military and special security forces continue to deploy in the city of Ataq, despite the issuance of decisions to dismiss its leaders.

Meanwhile, violent confrontations were renewed on Monday between the militants of the leader, Abed Rabbo Lakab, and UAE militia in Ataq, Shabwa governorate.

"The armed men of the commander of the Special Forces of Akab decided to confront the Emirati reinforcements, and to resolve the confrontations in Ataq, after the overthrow of a number of leaders by decisions issued by the Presidential Council in Aden," sources said.

The former Minister of Transport in the Saudi-backed government, Saleh Al-Jabwani, described the decisions of the Alimi Council, a victory for the Emirati militias.

The leadership of the US-Saudi aggression in Aden issued decisions in the name of the Alimi Council, according to which a number of leaders were overthrown during the past hours and other leaders were appointed in their place.

The occupied southern governorates are witnessing a security chaos, and an escalation of attacks and assassinations between the parties loyal to the US-Saudi-UAE aggression, in light of the spread of Takfiri groups.

The attack in Shabwa comes with the escalation of the state of popular revolution, and the outbreak of massive protests in the city of Aden, reflecting the rejection of occupying UAE-Saudi aggression.

The citizens protest against the continued deterioration of living conditions, the interruption of services, the collapse of the economy and currency, and the significant increase in fuel prices.

UAE-Saudi-backed forces carried out a massive campaign of arrests against citizens in the city, following the protests that demanded the expulsion of the "UAE-Saudi Council of agents".
