Sana'a to UN Mission: Work to Stop Piracy of US-Saudi Aggression on Fuel

News - Yemen: The national team in the Redeployment Committee met, Monday, the head and members of the UN Mission to Support the Hodeidah Agreement.

The head of National Team, Ali Hammoud Al-Mushki, expressed his astonishment at the silence of the "UNMHA" mission regarding the escalation of the US-Saudi aggression in Hays.

He referred to the frequent advances of the mercenaries of the aggression and the raids of armed combat aircraft, which strikes civilian targets.

General Al-Mushki stressed the importance of the UN mission fulfilling its obligations regarding the Sweden Agreement and working to stop the piracy of the US-Saudi aggression on the ships of fuel.

"The UNMHA mission is supposed to put more pressure on the UN Development Program to provide equipment and supplies for field work for the teams of the Executive Center to deal with mines," member of national team in Redeployment Committee, Mohammed Al-Qadri, said.

"The continued daily fall of civilian casualties, children and women, due to remnants of the US-Saudi aggression bomb explosions, requires the UN not to delay in the delivery of equipment to clear areas contaminated with remnants of war," he added.

The head of the UN Mission to Support the Hodeidah Agreement, Michael Perry, confirmed that he is continuing his discussions with international partners to find the necessary funds to cover the severe shortage in the Executive Center for Mine Action.

He valued the positive interaction of the Sana'a government representative team for the redeployment and the facilities provided to the mission in order to move forward in establishing peace.

In early April, after Yemen’s Supreme Political Council declared a voluntary and unilateral three-day pause in retaliatory strikes against targets in Saudi Arabia, the UN special envoy for Yemen, Hans Grundberg, announced the nationwide ceasefire, for the first time since 2015.

The deal stipulates halting offensive military operations, including cross-border attacks, and allowing fuel-laden ships to enter Yemen's lifeline Hodeidah port and commercial flights in and out of the airport in the capital Sana'a "to predetermined destinations in the region ."

However, in light of UN silence, the Saudi-led aggression was still obstructing flights to the Sana'a International Airport in Yemen’s capital and detaining fuel ships that were headed to the country. The fires of the aggression side did not subside along the fronts, on the borders and inside, including shelling, reconnaissance, development and crawl.

In early June, the United Nations announced that Yemen’s National Salvation Government and the US-Saudi coalition have agreed to renew the two-month truce after days of negotiations and promises to fulfill the terms of the agreement.

The UN envoy noted that the truce was extended under the same terms as the previous one.

The United Nations continues to condone the crimes committed by the Saudi-led aggression. It only holds the coalition responsible for crimes when it seeks to blackmail the Kingdom and oblige it to pay millions of dollars. The UN is not concerned with the souls of the victims, as it provided cover for this aggression for years, and kept silent in the face of many of its criminal practices, whether through raids or sieges.
