132 Recorded Violations of UN-sponsored Truce by US-Saudi Aggression

News - Yemen: The US-Saudi aggression and mercenaries committed 132 violations of the humanitarian and military UN-sponsored truce, during the past 24 hours.

A military source explained that the aggression's violations included 29 violations by the flight of armed and spy drones over the airspace of the governorates of Ma'rib, Taiz, Hajjah, Al-Jawf, Al-Dhalea, Sa’adah, Al-Hodeidah and the border fronts, according to Saba agency,

The source indicated that a violation of launching an airstrike was monitored, targeting the homes of citizens and the sites of the Army and the Popular Committees in Ma'rib Governorate.

The source stated that the violations of the aggression included two infiltration operations by a group of mercenaries of the aggression on the sites of the army and the popular committees in Najran, and in the north of Hays in Hodeidah governorate.

He pointed out that the US-Saudi mercenaries launched a missile bombardment on army and popular committee sites east of Hays in the Hodeidah governorate, and developed five new military fortifications in the Hamir front, in Taiz governorate, in Najran, and in Hodeidah Governorates.

The source confirmed that 81 violations were monitored including shooting at citizens' homes, army positions and popular committees in the governorates of Ma'rib, Taiz, Hajjah, Saada, Al-Dhalea, Al-Hodeidah and the border fronts. And three other violations by artillery shelling of the mercenaries of the aggression, on the governorates of Ma'rib, Saada, Hajjah, Hodeidah and the border fronts.

Artillery shelling of the mercenaries of the aggression also targeted army and committee sites in Haradh, Bani Hassan and Hiran in Hajjah Governorate, in the northeast of Hays in Al Hudaydah Governorate, and in Maqbna in Taiz Governorate.

It is noteworthy that the number of violations by the forces of aggression since the beginning of the humanitarian and military truce amounted to 27,559 violations.

A UN-brokered truce in Yemen first came into effect on 2 April, and for an initial two months.  It was renewed for another two months in June.

The deal stipulated halting offensive military operations, including cross-border attacks, and allowing fuel-laden ships to enter Yemen's lifeline Hodeidah port and commercial flights in and out of the airport in the capital Sana'a "to predetermined destinations in the region."

When the period specified for the military and humanitarian truce was nearing its end, the US-Saudi aggression seemed to be in a hurry to adopt the option of extending it for the third time to freeze the battle in Yemen and its economic repercussions away from global energy markets.

The forces of aggression are pushing for an extension, not out of concern for peace, but rather out of fear that the escalation will add more complications to the international scene in addition to the crisis imposed by the Russian-Ukrainian war.

Double standards regarding the violations of the forces of aggression and its provocative practices is a double UN policy that has brought the crisis in Yemen to its current level of misery and deprivation that has affected everyone far from justice and the realization of the rights of the Yemeni people.

The truce has been renewed for an additional two months through 2 October, UN Special Envoy for Yemen, Hans Grundberg, announced.

The Saudi-led aggression continues to violate the truce by detaining new fuel ships, despite their inspection and obtaining permits from the United Nations, insisting on the closure of Sana’a Airport, as well as, the fires of the aggression side did not subside along the fronts, on the borders and inside. Shelling, reconnaissance, development and crawl, including a failed advance carried out by mercenaries towards Army and Popular Committee sites south of Marib.
