$9.5 Billion Yemeni Oil Looted by US-Saudi Agression

News - Yemen: Ministry of Oil and Minerals revealed that the value of Yemeni oil looted during four and a half years amounted to nine billion and 500 million dollars, while the Minister of Oil promised to take the appropriate and necessary measures to preserve the rights of the Yemeni people.

The ministry indicated in a statement that the looted crude oil during the period from 2018 to July 2022 is estimated at 130 million barrels.

The ministry indicated that the total value of looted oil revenues from 2018 until this July amounted to nine billion and 500 million dollars.

It pointed out that the production of crude oil during 2018 amounted to 18 million barrels, with an estimated of one billion and 300 million dollars. During 2019, more than 29 million and 600 barrels of crude oil were produced, with about two billion and 300 million dollars.

The Ministry of Oil explained that SAFER produces 83 domestic gas trailers per day, with a total of 2490 per month. The value of gas in the 2490 monthly locomotives is 5 million and 400 thousand cylinders, and its revenues are 12 billion and 700 million riyals per month.

The ministry indicated that in February 2022, Safer Company raised the price of gas cylinders to 3567 per cylinder, bringing its revenues to 19 billion and 100 million riyals per month.

Sana'a Will Not Allow LNG Project to Be Restarted by Saudi-led Aggression Unless Return in Interest of All Yemenis:

"We were recently informed of efforts by the US-Saudi aggression to restart the liquefied gas project with the approach of winter," the Minister of Oil and Minerals, Ahmed Daris, said.

He stressed that we will not allow the liquefied gas project to be restarted unless the return is in the interest of all the Yemeni people.

Daris explained that if the looted oil and gas revenues were provided to Yemeni banks, it would have been possible to disburse the salaries of employees in all of Yemen.

The Minister of Oil indicated that the produced crude oil is smuggled and exported through many ports, calling for handing over the management of the oil, gas and mineral sectors to the ministry.

He pointed out that the Saudi-backed party has reduced the allocations of the areas liberated from gas, calling for the neutralization of these sectors in favor of the salaries of employees.

"We warn all oil companies operating in Yemen and call on them to abide by production-sharing agreements," he said.

During the four months of the UN-brokered truce and the extension that took place between April 2 and August 2, the pro-aggression government looted Yemeni crude oil and domestic gas revenues, the equivalent of the salaries of state employees for seven months.

This amount was enough to alleviate the suffering of the people, which has been going on for nearly six years, since the US-Saudi aggression transferred central bank jobs to Aden and cut salaries.

The total revenues of crude oil and domestic gas looted by the Saudi-mercenaries in the past four months is about 919.66 million dollars, equivalent to about 551.8 billion Yemeni riyals. It would have covered the salaries of all state administrative employees for more than seven months, at 77 billion Yemeni riyals for each month.

The looted crude oil is about 8.3 million barrels, with a total value of up to 801 million dollars, equivalent to 480.6 billion Yemeni riyals. The domestic gas sold by the Saudi-backed government is about 232.5 thousand tons.

Yemeni crude oil was subjected to a series of continuous looting by Saudi-mercenaries. On April 10, the foreign ship Politaris arrived at the Dabba port in Hadramout to loot 2.3 million barrels. Its total value is approximately $267 million. While the Indian ship SEAVELVET arrived on the 25th of the same month at Al-Nashima port in Shabwa governorate to loot one million barrels, with a total value of 106 million dollars. On May 31, the foreign ship Apolitaris arrived at the port of Ash-Shihr in Hadramout to loot more than 2.2 million barrels, with a total of more than $270 million.

June and July, were also witnesses to the series of Saudi-mercenaries looting, and behind them, the US-Saudi aggression, for Yemeni crude oil.

On the 26th of last June, the ship Golf Aetos arrived at the Radhum port in Shabwa governorate to loot 400,000 barrels, with a total value of $44 million. It was followed by three days later, on the 29th of the same month, the arrival of the Emirati ship lSABAELL to the port of Al-Nashima in Shabwa to loot nearly one million barrels, worth 114 million dollars.

During April 2 - August 2, 2022, the Saudi-backed government sold 9,300 trailers distributed in 20 million cylinders. With a total of 232.5 thousand tons, with a total value of 71.2 billion Yemeni riyals. A monthly rate of 2325 trailers, in which five million cylinders are distributed from the company per month, with a total value of 17.8 billion riyals. The price per cylinder is 3576 riyals.
