News - Yemen: President Mahdi Al-Mashat congratulated Sunday the members of the Supreme Political Council and the Yemeni people on the occasion of the sixtieth anniversary of the September 26 revolution.

In his speech, he said, "It is not a coincidence, when September 26 revolution anniversary comes while we are still facing a fierce war from the same foreign parties that fought it sixty years ago, it is conclusive evidence of the extent of the long conspiracy against the dreams and hopes of Yemenis.”

He added that the military war against Yemen by the same parties did not stop until they were reassured that the revolution and the republic are controlled by a regime that will be a mercenary to them.

He said, "And here we are again today offering precious sacrifices in a battle that represents the natural extension of the battle of all the benevolent fathers and grandfathers who love their country.”

The president added, "Today, praise be to God, the fair observer can realize this fact, as all the evils of the past and the present gathered with the US-Saudi  aggression, and in return the free people of the homeland gathered defending the freedom and independence of our beloved Yemen and the dignity of its people."

President Al-Mashat stressed, "It is important on such an anniversary to mention the importance of unity more and more to our country and our land.”

He added that talking about peace and security is nothing real without respecting the rights of the Yemeni people, stressing that the siege of the Yemeni people and depriving them of their oil and gas wealth is a war crime and a crime against humanity, and is also a major obstacle to peace and confidence-building that we need to move towards to a permanent ceasefire.

He held the US-Saudi aggression responsible for all the complications, escalation or damage that may result from the continuation of their war against Yemen.
