News - Yemen: A citizen was killed, Thursday, as a shell fired by the US-Saudi mercenaries targeted his house in Lahj governorate, Almasirah correspondent reported.

Earlier on Wednesday, a citizen and his mother were injured by an artillery shell that the US-Saudi mercenaries fired at their house in Taiz Governorate.

This crime comes in the context of the crimes of the US-Saudi aggression against civilians in many provinces, in light of international silence and complicity.

Lahj and other Southern governorates are witnessing security chaos, and almost daily crimes, under the control of the forces of US-Saudi aggression and Saudi-Emirati occupation. They witness increasing of assassinations involving military security leaders, religious and social tendencies, kidnapping, bombings and clashes between militants fighting for influence among them.

The United Nations has confirmed that the security chaos in the southern governorates has become a source of concern for humanitarian workers. Deputy Director of Operations, Ghada Mudawi, assured the Security Council that the lack of security is a source of concern for workers, who are increasingly trying to steal cars, kidnappings and other attacks.
 
Saudi Arabia, backed by the United States and regional allies, launched the war on Yemen in March 2015, with the claim of bringing the government of former Yemeni president Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi back to power.
 
The war has left hundreds of thousands of Yemenis dead, and displaced millions more. It has also destroyed Yemen’s infrastructure and spread famine and infectious diseases there.
 
In light of its defeats on various frontlines and its failure to achieve any of its objectives, the US-Saudi aggression is notorious for its indiscrimination shown by its numerous attacks against densely-populated centers, including markets, hospitals, farms and schools.
