News - Yemen: Deputy Minister of Transport, Mohammad Al-Hashemi, confirmed that the cost of shipping and transporting goods from Southern city of Aden is 10 times what it costs to ship them from Hodeidah, indicating that the aggression deliberately increases the cost of goods for citizens.

In a statement to Almasirah, he said that the imports were entering Yemen through Hodeidah amounted to two-thirds of what the country wanted, pointing out that the aggression worked to transfer them to the port of Aden.

He explained that the containers entering today through the port of Hodeidah have become very limited, compared to 23,000 containers entering through the port of Aden.

The Deputy Minister of Transport indicated that the Salvation Government has become compelled to search for ships equipped with its own cranes because of the damage caused by the aggression to the port of Hodeidah.
