News - Yemen: Angry demonstrations took place in Lahj to protest against the violations committed by the forces of the US-Saudi aggression, the Saudi-backed government, and the Council of Saudi-Emirati tools, in addition to the deteriorating economic conditions.

The protesters chanted slogans calling for the dismissal of the corrupt and denouncing the deterioration of the economic situation and the security chaos.

The demonstrators roamed the neighborhoods of Al-Houta, denouncing corruption, the corrupt, the lawlessness, and the policy of starvation due to the corruption of the Saudi-backed government.

In this regard, Sheikh Mohammad Rajeh, the sheikh of the Daari tribe, called on the people of Radfan to go out in armed protests in response to the attack on a citizen from Radfan, who was wounded by the gunfire of Abdel Hafez Al-Zawqari.

“You have heard of what happened to our son Rajeh Hussein, who was assaulted and hit by an armored vehicle by a person named Abd al-Hafiz al-Zawqari, which resulted in serious injuries,” Sheikh Rajeh said in a statement.

He called on the citizens to attend tomorrow morning in the Sufl Dallah area, with all weapons, to face any emergency and respond to the attack on the citizens.

He also called on the sheikhs in Radfan, Kalad, Meshallah and Yafa' to stand against what he described as a terrorist gang, and to extradite Abdul Hafez Al-Zawqari to the judiciary.

He warned the sheikh of the Daari tribes against ignoring their demands, stressing that “the response will be from us at the time that we want.” He also accused Al-Zawqari of repeating the attacks on the people of the tribe.

Occupied southern governorates are witnessing a tragic situation, high crime levels, currency deterioration, and rising prices. They have witnessed protests and sit-ins during the last period, due to the worsening humanitarian and economic conditions.

These protests coincide with the recent collapse of the security and economic situation in the occupied southern governorates, in light of the ongoing fights of the aggression militias.
