Yemen: At a time when Saudi Arabia is negotiating with the National Salvation Government in Sana’a, one of the leaders of the “Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula” organization, “Adnan Raziq,” appears to the fore on the Yemen-Saudi border .

 It may also use Al-Qaeda to confront Abu Dhabi's plans to expand the influence of its affiliated factions at the expense of the factions backed by Riyadh, on the other hand.

A week ago, informed sources reported that the commander of the Salafist “Hasm” Brigades, who was granted a military rank by the US-Saudi aggression, the commander of the “Fifth Brigade of the Presidential Guard,” Brigadier General “Adnan Raziq,” left the city of Taiz for Saudi Arabia, after differences escalated between him and the Islah military leaders in the Taiz axis.

He was accused by them of working in favor of an agenda that serves to extend the political and military influence of the UAE-backed “Tariq Saleh” in Taiz Governorate, which prompted the party leadership in Taiz to threaten Roziq with a fate similar to “Abu Al-Abbas” and “Adnan Al-Hammadi.”

Activists in Taiz on social media platforms posted a picture of "Raziq" at the southern Saudi border in the Al-Baqa' desert, along with a number of US-Saudi aggression coalition recruits.

Yemeni activist Aya Al-Sami’i said in a post on the “Facebook” monitored by the “Yemeni Press Agency” that: “The commander of the Fifth Brigade of the Presidential Guard, Brigadier General Adnan Raziq, arrives at the Yemen-Saudi border, and news of major disagreements and threats to him with a fate similar to that of Brigadier General Adnan Al-Hammadi, commander of the 35th Armored Brigade.”

Media activist Kholoud Al-Absi said in a post on the “Facebook”: “The terrorist Adnan Raziq, who killed my brothers, fled from Taiz towards Saudi Arabia, after threats to liquidate him by the Islah party, after information about his facilitation for the incursion of UAE-backed traitors into Taiz.”

The conflict has been raging since mid-April, in the occupied Yemeni regions, between the militias of Islah and al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula on the one hand, and the Emirati militias that embrace a number of terrorist groups on the other hand, as part of the struggle to extend influence in those areas.

The recent movements of the terrorist members of “Al-Qaeda” and “Daesh” and the bloody conflicts between the armed factions of the US-Saudi aggression in the occupied governorates have raised concerns.

Observers of Yemeni affairs believe that fueling the conflicts of terrorist organizations and the armed coalition factions “Islah, the Transitional Council, and the Guardians of the Republic” comes within a vague scheme that the colonial powers, led by America and Britain, are seeking in the southern and western governorates of Yemen.
