News - Yemen: Large crowds flock to dozens of squares in the capital Sana'a and all the free governorates, to participate in the major marches that will start this Sunday afternoon, to mark the National Day of Resilience.

The crowd carries Yemeni flags, slogans of freedom, and banners that reject the US policy and condemn the US-Saudi aggression and blockade on Yemen.

While delivering a speech on Saturday to mark the eighth anniversary of the US-Saudi aggression against Yemen, Sayyed Abdulmalik Al-Houthi called on the people of Yemen to go out this afternoon and participate extensively in the marches to announce to the whole world its adherence to its just cause and to warn the coalition of aggression against continuing the siege, aggression and occupation.

The organizing committee of the events called, earlier, the masses of the Yemeni People to go out broadly in the capital Sana'a, and the provinces, to commemorate the National Day of Resilience. It confirmed the importance of wide participation in the commemoration of the National Day of Resilience to emphasize the continuation of steadfastness in the face of aggression until victory is achieved.

Saudi Arabia, backed by the United States and regional allies, launched the war on Yemen in March 2015, claiming the goal of bringing the government of former Yemeni president Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi back to power.

The US-Saudi aggression continues to target neighborhoods and populated areas and destroy the infrastructure and capabilities of the country, in light of a suspicious international silence.

The war has left hundreds of thousands of Yemenis dead and displaced millions more. It has also destroyed Yemen’s infrastructure and spread famine and infectious diseases there.
