News - Yemen: Sayyed Abdulmalik al-Houthi strongly condemned the crime of burning the Holy Quran by enemies in Europe (Denmark and Sweden), stressing the need for us as Muslims to have a position on their war against Islam.

The leader said during today's Ramadan lecture, Thursday, that those who lead these crimes and repeated abuses against Islamic sanctities are the Zionist lobby, stressing that our faith affiliation requires us to be angry and provoked when it fights our religion.

The Leader pointed out that the sanctity of materialism among the enemies requires the Islamic nation to confront them with the weapon of economic boycott.

He pointed out that, "as Muslims, we must boycott all countries that allow the burning of the Quran and protect it," explaining that the boycott is sufficient to deter enemies and push them to stop insulting Islam.

He emphasized the importance of the unity of Muslims in punishing the countries that were involved in burning the Qur’an by saying, “If the Muslims were united by a serious boycott to punish the countries that were involved in burning the Qur’an, they would have stopped burning it.”

Earlier, the spokesman for Ansarullah, Mohammed Abdulsalam, strongly condemned the repeated attempts to attach Islamic sanctities.

"We strongly condemn the repeated attempts to insults the Holy Quran in Denmark and before that in Sweden," he said.

He called on Islamic countries to take a unified stance towards those who incite the violation of Islamic sanctities under the false pretext of freedom of expression.

Ansarullah's spokesman, Mohammad Abdulsalam, confirmed that targeting the Holy Quran will lead to chaos in Sweden and elsewhere, because this targeting is dangerous.

Abdulsalam said in his interview on Almasirah channel, that "targeting the Holy Quran with what it represents for Muslims is an attempt to break its high place in Muslims hearts, and it is a direct attack on every Muslim who is devoted to his religion."

He pointed out that the goal of burning the Quran is also an attempt to label that Islam is behind extremism and terrorism, after all previous conspiracies had vanished.

Recently, Rasmus Paludan, the leader of the Stram Kurs (Hard Line) Party, under the protection of police and with permission from the government, burned a copy of the Quran outside the Turkish embassy in Stockholm on Saturday.

Mass rallies took place in several governorates in Yemen, on Monday to denounce the burning of a copy of the Holy Quran by the tools of the Zionist Jewish lobby in Sweden’s capital of Stockholm.

Many other Arab and Muslim countries – including Iran, Pakistan, the United Arab Emirates, Jordan and Kuwait – also denounced the Quran burning.
