Yemen's Preemptive Strike: Targeting US Aircraft Carrier 'Abraham Lincoln' to Thwart Imminent Aggression

Yemen: The Yemeni Armed Forces launched a preemptive strike targeting the US aircraft carrier Abraham Lincoln and its strike group in the Red and Arabian Seas. This operation thwarted a major offensive that was in its final stages, preparing for an extensive attack on Yemen.

In one of Yemen's largest operations in support of Gaza since the onset of the Battle of the Promised Conquest and the Holy Jihad, the Yemeni Armed Forces announced, on Tuesday, November 12, that they had carried out two significant operations in the Red and Arabian Seas. The first operation targeted the Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier in the Arabian Sea using several cruise missiles and drones. The second operation struck two US destroyers in the Red Sea with ballistic missiles and drones, successfully achieving its objectives. These actions were part of the fifth phase of Yemen's military escalation and its support for Gaza and Lebanon, which are facing genocide by the Israeli enemy.

Intelligence Capabilities

Referring to the growing intelligence capabilities of Yemen and their ability to access information from US enemy command rooms, the Leader of the Revolution Sayyed Abdulmalik al-Houthi, in his recent speech on the latest developments, emphasized the significance of this naval operation in thwarting an imminent US attack. He explained that "the operation was carried out at a time when the US was preparing for a massive aerial offensive on our country (that night), since their declaration of aggression against us, supporting the Israeli enemy." This came after Yemen's clear stance in supporting the Palestinian people and blocking Israeli maritime traffic.

The Leader confirmed that the operation disrupted the US plan, leaving them on the defensive. The aircraft carrier was forced to retreat hundreds of miles, highlighting that Yemen's Armed Forces had successfully thwarted the US offensive, turning the tables on the enemy and rendering their plans to launch a major assault ineffective.

Military Expert's Insights

Military expert Major General Khaled Ghurab highlighted the remarkable intelligence achievement in this operation. Speaking to Al-Masirah TV, he pointed out that it is unprecedented for anyone to strike a US warship, especially with such precision. He explained that the Abraham Lincoln, one of the largest aircraft carriers in the US fleet, was hit along with two destroyers at the same time. The attack stunned the US, forcing the carrier to flee towards the Indian Ocean, as they were unprepared for such a strike, especially the "intelligence leap" that Yemen had achieved.

Ghurab emphasized that the operation aimed to eliminate the threat posed by the US, noting that such a decision could only be made by forces with the capability to confront even greater threats.

Historical Weaponry

Regarding statements by US Deputy Secretary of Defense Bill LaPlante, who said that Yemenis "produce ballistic missiles with technology that only advanced countries can produce," Ghurab viewed this as an implicit acknowledgment of Yemen's military capabilities. He rejected LaPlante's claims, affirming that Yemen's technology is unique and not possessed by the U.S., Russia, or China.

Ghurab also explained how Yemen has developed the ability to convert ballistic missiles, which are typically ground-to-ground, into naval missiles that can target ships, including aircraft carriers, from hundreds of miles away. This is a new form of weaponry that has never been seen before in world military history.

The Fate of Abraham Lincoln

Previously, the Yemeni Armed Forces engaged the Eisenhower aircraft carrier, striking it five times consecutively, forcing the US to withdraw it. The US USS Carney carrier also avoided entering Yemeni operational areas.

Now, Abraham Lincoln was brought back, but the Yemeni forces swiftly targeted it, and leaked videos from foreign channels confirm that the carrier was hit, causing flames and smoke to fill the Arabian Sea. Ghurab stated that Abraham Lincoln is no longer operational, having moved away from its original location and is now incapable of launching aircraft to attack Yemen. The carrier now requires refueling in the air, a complex and risky operation.

Ghurab questioned whether the US would repair Abraham Lincoln, noting that its previous repairs, such as those for Eisenhower, have cost the US billions. He expressed confidence that Yemen had removed the threat, but questioned if the US could restore the carrier's readiness within the coming weeks. He speculated that it might follow the fate of Eisenhower.

Aftermath

It was noted that after the Yemeni operation, which likely targeted Abraham Lincoln—the source of the US planes attacking Yemen—no further US airstrikes were launched on Yemen. This suggests that the military operation successfully neutralized the threat for the time being.
