FM: To Prove Serious, US-Saudi Aggression Must Adhere to Basic Requirements

News - Yemen: Foreign Minister Hisham Sharaf affirmed that countries claiming to be keen on achieving peace in Yemen must be sincere in their intentions through concrete steps on the ground.

"The countries that claim to be keen on achieving peace in Yemen should condemn the aggression and siege on Yemen, stop supplying the US-Saudi aggression with weapons and military experts, and pressure the US-Saudi aggression to make progress in the humanitarian issue," he said.

He pointed out that the recent statements of US President Joe Biden regarding achieving peace in Yemen are not commensurate with what America is doing in reality by providing cover for the US-Saudi aggression that declared war on Yemen from Washington.

"The US is trying to evade its responsibilities as a party that participated in the aggression and blockade of Yemen, which caused the largest humanitarian crisis in history," he added.

The Foreign Minister concluded his statement by emphasizing Sana'a's position calling for a just peace, expressing Sana'a's readiness to defend the people of Yemen by all legitimate means.

For its part,, head of national delegation, Mohammed Abdulsalam, explained that after a year from the day when the UN-sponsored truce was announced, there has been sufficient time to show that US-Saudi aggression is not serious about peace.

"Instead of peace, unfortunately, US-Saudi aggression kept the war and blockade. It refused to pay salaries, and took other necessary steps to bring peace," he said.

It should be noted that Sana'a affirms that lifting ban on Sana'a airport, allowing the flow of food and commercial goods to port of Hodeidah without any obstacles, with dispersing salaries of all employees from the country's revenues, is a priority to break the status quo.

Recently, the Supreme Political Council affirmed that the warnings of the leader of the revolution, Sayyed Abdulmalik Al-Houthi, are clear to all those keen on establishing peace in Yemen and the region and procrastination on these messages must not continue.
