The ministry indicated, in a statement, that despite the truce and the tireless attempts of the President of the Supreme Political Council and the National Salvation Government for peace, there are those who continue to plunder mineral resources to this day.
"The Ministry of Oil and Minerals is following this closely, and we will work with the competent bodies to deter and stop any looting of mineral wealth," the statement reads. “We reserve our legal right to hold everyone involved in the looting process accountable, whether they are individuals, companies or otherwise. We will work in every way to recover all the looted funds and wealth.”
The looting of Yemen's wealth continues by the countries involved in aggression, while the Yemenis live the reality of suffering and deprivation, in light of the continued series of looting of wealth in the occupied areas, recording about three hundred million dollars per month of crude oil. Not to mention the gas revenues and other stolen revenues, this amount is sufficient to pay the salaries of employees throughout Yemen for three months.
The Yemeni citizens in the south have become exhausted from the high prices, corruption and the continuation of the economic blockade, all of which are American projects that directly and intentionally target the life, livelihood and health of the Yemenis.
Meanwhile, Sana'a asserts that the wealth of Yemen is being stolen in front of everyone, and the looted sums are being supplied to Saudi Arabia and the Emirates, and not even to the Central Bank of the Saudi-backed government.
In late October, Yemen's Armed Forces announced in a military statement that it would prevent the continuous looting of oil wealth as they are not allocated to serve the people in paying salaries and services, launching warning operations.
The Armed Forces spokesman renewed the warning by saying: "We will not hesitate to do what it takes to stop and prevent any ship trying to plunder the wealth of our Yemeni People," stressing that the Armed Forces are able to launch more warning operations in defense of Yemenis and to protect their wealth from tampering and looting.
