News - Yemen: Yemen's Parliament congratulated the success of Ramadan deal for exchange of prisoners, which was one of the results of steadfastness in the face of the aggression coalition for more than 8 years.

In a statement, Parliament blessed the keenness of the Leader of the Revolution and the President to give priority to the public interest and responsible engagement with the Omani mediation efforts and the good results that resulted in moving the humanitarian issue, at the forefront of which are the steps to exchange prisoners, leading to the completion of the opening of all Yemeni ports and airports. 

The Parliament congratulated all prisoners and detainees and their families on their safe return after years of separation, suffering and diaspora.

The parliament also thanked and appreciated the efforts of the National Delegation, the Prisoners' Affairs Committee and the Omani mediation for their efforts in the prisoner exchange process, appreciating the Sultanate of Oman's stances keen on peace in Yemen, and their humanitarian role that reflects the originality and nobility of the Omani people and their leadership.

The statement expressed the hope that this initiative would be a starting point for dialogue that leads to a comprehensive and just peace that restores security, peace, stability and national sovereignty to Yemen.
In the statement, parliament stressed the importance of releasing the rest of the prisoners and detainees on the principle of "all for all" and completing the remaining steps of the humanitarian issue.
The Parliament renewed its support for the efforts of the revolutionary leadership, the Supreme Political Council and the Prisoners' Affairs Committee to complete the prisoner exchange deal, and adhere to all options that guarantee the Yemeni people their legitimate rights.

The prisoner exchange process is part of an exchange deal signed in Switzerland on March 20, which included 706 prisoners and detainees in the prisons of the US-Saudi aggression and its mercenaries.
