Prime Minister: No Progress from Saudi Arabia, Rather Trying to Evade Promises

News - Yemen: "Sana'a did not see the impact of the promises made by Saudi Arabia, but rather it is trying to evade the implementation of what it promised, adding we are insisting on meeting all agreed on understandings" the head of National Salvation Government, Dr. Abdulaziz bin Habtoor, said.

He pointed out that the people of Yemen suffer daily, explaining that Sana'a considers the payment of salaries and what is related to the humanitarian issue as the key to security and stability if the other party is serious.

He pointed out that President's message through UN representative is for all parties to recognize reality of situation whether the UN Security Council or UK, US.

Deputy Prime Minister for Defense and Security Affairs Jalal Al-Ruwaishan stated that President Al-Mashat's message confirms that the fire will not be confined to Yemen if an escalation is pushed.

He explained that President Al-Mashat informed the UN representative that other parties can take Yemen's message as advice or threat.

He stressed that the countries in US-Saudi coalition may have realized, it was involved in aggression and wants to reconsider, adding US, UK sponsors of US-Saudi Aggression are disturbed by any peace plan.

Al-Ruwaishan considered that it is not logical for the US-Saudi aggression to talk about being under pressure, as they are facing the rights people of Yemen.

For its part,, President Mahdi Al-Mashat, head of Supreme Political Council, warned that the US and UK are seeking to push for escalation, stressing that the whole world would be affected if the US-Saudi aggression backed against Yemen.

This came during his meeting with the UN Special Envoy to Yemen, Hans Grundberg, and his accompanying team.

In the meeting, the latest developments related to establishing peace, stopping US-Saudi aggression and lifting the unjust siege on Yemen were discussed.

The president stressed that the US and UK are the ones who put obstacles in the way of all attempts to bring peace to Yemen.

He pointed out that whenever there is any understanding between Yemen and Saudi Arabia, the US rushes to send its envoy to the region, and all efforts fail.

"The US role in the aggression and siege on Yemen and the thwarting of peace efforts confirms that it is behind all its suffering, and that it always seeks to continue the war, fighting any efforts for peace," president Al-Mashat said.

"We are ready for peace or war, and the US-Saudi aggression chooses the path it wants, as we are in the position of legitimate defense of our country, our freedom and our independence,” he said.

Al-Mashat pointed out that the initiative to release prisoner Faisal Rajab confirms that we are able to restore our unity in absence of external interference.
