News - Yemen: The Minister of Defense, Major General Muhammad Al-Atifi, affirmed that Yemen was coveted by the colonial invaders, due to its vital strategic location in the heart of the world.

In a meeting that included the leaders and officers of the naval forces and coastal defense, the Minister of Defense stated, that the plans of the invaders to occupy Yemen were through the paths of history through the Bab al-Mandab Strait.

"However this time the attempts of the invaders and the colonizers failed, and they were defeated, and the enemies of Yemen will not be able to continue their occupation of Yemen, in light of the insistence and determination of our people and their Armed Forces," said Major General Al-Atifi.

The Minister of Defense indicated that the US-Saudi aggression and its mercenaries, along with the US-Zionist colonial forces, tried to implement the British colonial plan when it had occupied the city of Aden and the southern and eastern provinces of Yemen, trying to occupy Hodeidah.

He added, "By the grace of God, thanks to the revolutionary leadership, the Armed Forces were supported by the honorable people of Tihama who stood by the military establishment."

Major General Al-Atifi pointed out that the withdrawal of the aggression forces and its mercenaries from a number of areas in Hodeidah took place after they received painful blows, despite they called it a tactic in the withdrawal to cover up their defeats and failure.

The Minister of Defense added, "If the US-Saudi aggression continued we will by the victors, and the next battle will not be limited in Yemen, but will move to target the depth of the countries of the aggressor coalition," praising the readiness of the members of the naval forces and coastal defense.

He condemned the policy of invaders that they practice today in the occupied areas to fuel conflicts, suppress citizens and put them in secret prisons, spread and promote drugs to destroy society, and employ mercenaries.

He also said reaffirmed that what was not achieved for the Yemeni people in restoring their stolen rights through a political solution, will be achieved in other ways that are compatible with the enemy's arrogance, procrastination and delay.

For his part, the commanders of the naval forces and coastal defense confirmed that the programs of training, qualification and upgrading of fighters are progressing at a high pace in the various military disciplines.

They confirmed their high readiness to carry out their duties in protecting Yemeni territorial waters against hostile threats.

Earlier, Deputy Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces, Ali Al-Mushki, affirmed that Sana'a is serious about peace, which is not available to the other party, represented by American obstruction and Saudi lack of seriousness.

He stressed that the Armed Forces are ready to proceed with consolidating peace on the ground and ready to return to fighting.

He noted that talking about a cease-fire before implementing the provisions of the humanitarian issue is premature, while welcoming the efforts of the UN in this context.

For his part, the military advisor to the UN representative gave an explanation of the international role to stabilize the cease-fire if it was reached in Yemen.

The meeting reviewed the general situation of the existing truce and the provocations of the US-Saudi aggression, including the human tragedy that the people of Yemen are living under siege.

Recently, the minister of defense, major general Mohammed Al-Atifi, called on Saudi-UAE regimes to prove their good intentions by starting implementation of the conditions set by the supreme revolutionary, political and military leadership to reach a just and comprehensive peace.
