News - Yemen: The head of the Southern Movement in Dialogue Conference, Major General Khaled Barras, confirmed that the greatest threat to unity is the occupation and the foreign role, adding that the main goal of the US-Saudi aggression against Yemen is to dismantle and divide the country.

Regarding October 14 revolution, he mentioned the bloody events that began on January 13, 1986, explaining that they were the main factor that emphasized the need to achieve unity, adding the need to pay attention to the problems that afflicted unity and work to solve them,

Major General Barras explained that the Saudi-Emirati occupation spreads criminal practices on the occupied governments, stressing that the presence of the occupation and its interference in all affairs is what prevents Yemen from achieving any development.

Barras indicated that the solution lies in uniting our efforts to confront the foreign aggression, which is the cause of all the suffering.

He expressed his regret for the situation of those who supported the aggression against Yemen, addressing them by saying: “There is no threat on a Yemeni from another Yemeni or a southerner from a northerner. The real danger is from the foreign interference and aggression against our country."

Regarding the last conference held by the UAE-backed Transitional Council in Hadramout, Barras said that it was at the behest of the occupiers to translate the division policies, indicating that the occupation made various armed formations occupied southern regions to create discord between the people of the south and Yemen as a whole.

Calls for secession are growing louder, particularly in Aden and other major southern cities that are now controlled by the Emirati-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC).

As part of attempts to control Hadramout governorate and include it in the secession project, Saudi Arabia and the UAE attempt to drag the tribes in this governorate into the ranks of the separatist scheme through negotiation with the Hadramout tribes.
