Yemen:   It seems that the terrorist Al-Qaeda organization has been required to play a greater role in Yemen, as part of a dangerous game of shuffling played by global powers, with the aim of creating pretexts to impose its military presence in the country.

It can be noted that the performance of Al-Qaeda in Yemen does not support the US assumptions that Washington is fighting terrorist organizations.

Al-Qaeda announced, for the second time, the possession of combat drones, during video clips broadcast by the terrorist organization, on Saturday. It said that it carried out the operations targeting the “Shabwa Defense Forces” loyal to the Emirates, using drones in the oil province of Shabwa, eastern Yemen. 

It is an issue that has many negative repercussions, and reveals the size of the risks that the US-Saudi aggression took in Yemen.

Over the past five years, many Western and local press reports revealed a close link between terrorist organizations and the US-Saudi aggression in Yemen. However, the continuous expansion of these terrorist organizations confirms that Washington has not taken any measures to limit the exacerbation of the threat of terrorist groups in Yemen.

The former US President Barack Obama indicated in one of his speeches in the first months of the war that “terrorist organizations may find in the war in Yemen a suitable environment for spreading,” according to Obama.

But the US’s realization of that danger did not lead to any change on the ground, and it is likely happening to serve implicit American intentions, providing pretexts not Right to Washington in order to occupy parts of the territory of Yemen.

What reinforces the hypothesis of the American conspiracy to activate terrorist groups in Yemen is that these groups are present and active in the areas of its control, including the Bab al-Mandab Strait, southern and eastern Yemen.

During the year 2022, the US launched many raids against members of Al-Qaeda in Marib Governorate, but those raids seemed to be in vain, as Al-Qaeda continues to show more determination to continue the war, according to the statements of the leader of Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula, Khaled Batarfi.

He said on May 3, that “al-Qaeda will continue to fight against the Houthis in Yemen even without the support of the coalition.”

These statements are in line with Washington's directions, whose envoy to Yemen, Tim Lenderking, considered that a peaceful solution in Yemen is out of reach, in his comment on the peace talks taking place between Sana'a and Riyadh under the auspices of the Sultanate of Oman.

What should be known is that the threat of al-Qaeda will not be limited to Yemen, but also the Gulf oil states will be a target for al-Qaeda’s advanced weapons, especially since everyone knows the difficulty of controlling the terrorist groups.
