Abdul-Ghani Al-Zubaidi added that Sayyed Abdulmalik confirmed that: Saudi Arabia has reached the conviction that the continuation of the war will not achieve any interest for it, indicating that Saudi Arabia has given up and bin Salman has become sure that the continuation of his war on Yemen hinders any progress towards achieving his 2030 vision.
“With the development of the qualitative capabilities of the Yemeni army, which struck Saudi Aramco, Jeddah, and large areas of Saudi Arabia in February of 2022, without being “deterred” by the US air defense systems and others, threats increase on the Saudi economy,” he added.
Sayyed Abdulmalik Al-Houthi said that bin Salman has become dissatisfied and considers that the US has betrayed him and therefore he sought to declare a truce and asked the brothers in Oman to intervene to conduct dialogue with Sana’a which is what really happened.
Al-Zubaidi said that Sayyed Abdulmalik confirmed progress in the negotiations was witnessed despite the truce's actual end, and there was what could be called a principled agreement to accept Sana'a's demands.
Sayyed Abdulmalik Al-Houthi said - according to Al-Zubaidi - that the US went crazy at a time when Sanaa almost reached an understanding with Saudi Arabia on humanitarian issues. So it sent its envoy and the advisor to the President of the National Security Council, "Sullivan", and a number of members of Congress came and pressured Saudi Arabia and told them to start first the dialogue between Yemenis, to show the conflict as a Yemeni-Yemeni one.
Sayyed Abdulmalik confirmed, according to Abdul-Ghani Al-Zubaidi, that Saudi Arabia had agreed in principle to compensation and remedies for the effects of the war, but it was looking for a name other than that put forward by Sanaa. Then the US intervened and said, “We will call for a donors’ conference, and the countries of the world will contribute to the reconstruction of Yemen, and Saudi Arabia will be the largest contributor. But Sana’a refused and stressed that Saudi Arabia must pay in accordance with the international and humanitarian law, which it has always demanded to abide by.
Sayyed Abdulmalik Al-Houthi, during his meeting with al-Zubaidi, reiterated that Sana'a will not abandon the rights of the Yemeni people and will not give them up no matter what happens and will wrest them peacefully or by war.
