Saudi-Emirati Conflict Is Manifesting Itself in Hadramout

Yemen: A Saudi delegation lands in Mukalla, Hadramout, accompanied by the Saudi-backed President, Rashad Al-Alimi. Days after announcing the formation of the so-called "Hadramout National Council" from Riyadh, and under its supervision. This comes a month after a similar Emirati move in Aden.

The Saudi-Emirati conflict is manifesting itself, directly or through proxies, and the division is more evident among the locals who welcome it and those who reject it.

The so-called Hadramout Inclusive Conference, led by Bin Habrish, aligns with the Saudi move and welcomes it, but they say on the other hand that it is not a substitute for the Hadramout Inclusive Conference, and it will not be so, according to the spokesman for the conference.

On the other hand, the Hadramout's Halaf bloc express their implicit rejection of the Saudi move and publicly refused the visit done by Al-Alimi. Rather, they see that he and his government are not welcome, as they see nothing in Hadramout except as a milking cow that generates oil and cash, without offering its people what will protect them from the hot summer.

This is the view of those affiliated with the Emirates, which Al-Bahsani was not far from, as he believes that "the multiple projects, visions, and exclusion only increases Hadramout's disintegration," a position that expresses annoyance at the announcement of the Saudi formation.

Not far from Hadramout, parties affiliated with regional countries seek to create formations in Shabwa, Abyan, Al-Mahra and Socotra, in a way that tears the geographical and demographic side between the ambitions of the outside, led by Saudi Arabia and the Emirates, and behind them America and Britain.

A complex reality experienced by the occupied governorates in the south and east, in terms of security, politics, economy and livelihood, in light of the continuation of direct or proxy regional tensions and conflicts.

Amidst the crowding of projects, visions, and formations, economic crises are exacerbating, as the currency recorded an additional collapse against hard currencies, to touch the value of the dollar 1400 riyals.

Faced with this collapse, the countries of aggression, and their spawned formations and militias, see that they are not concerned with the deteriorating reality, and content themselves with sharing influence and wealth, and throwing accusations, while pushing the reality towards the worst and towards the unknown.

The Emirati-Saudi conflict in the southern and eastern governorates has reached an important turning point, and it seems that direct confrontations will happen soon between the two occupying countries through their armed militias in this governorate, which has not been spared even from the US plotting against them.

This is evident from the frequent visits of the US ambassador, politicians, and military personnel to Hadramout Governorate. This regional and international struggle over Hadhramaut Governorate is clear evidence of its large and numerous wealth, and its distinguished geopolitical position.
