News - Yemen: The Ministry of Public Health and Population strongly condemned Sunday the “war crime” of targeting Al-Barah Hospital in Maqbana district, Taiz governorate by US-Saudi spy drones.

In a statement, it confirmed that the missiles caused damage to some departments of the hospital and ambulances, and caused great panic among doctors and patients.

The Ministry of Health affirmed that targeting hospitals and health facilities is a war crime committed by the aggression coalition while the United Nations and the international community continues to remain silent.

In its statement, the ministry indicated that more than 500 hospitals and health facilities were completely or partially destroyed during the aggression against Yemen.

It urgently called for lifting the siege on Sana'a International Airport for the travel of patients and the arrival of equipment and medical assistance to enable the health sector to withstand and alleviate the humanitarian crisis in Yemen.

The spy drones of the US-Saudi aggression dropped missiles on Maqbana Rural Hospital in Taiz Governorate, causing great terror among the citizens.

It should be noted that, on July 12, a child was seriously injured and material damage was caused, as a result of two shells fired by the US-Saudi mercenaries in Al-Ta'iziyah district of the same governorate.

Saudi Arabia, backed by the United States and regional allies, launched the war on Yemen in March 2015, claiming the goal of bringing the government of former Yemeni president Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi back to power.

The US-Saudi aggression continues to target neighborhoods and populated areas and destroy the infrastructure and capabilities of the country, in light of a suspicious international silence.

The war has left hundreds of thousands of Yemenis dead and displaced millions more. It has also destroyed Yemen’s infrastructure and spread famine and infectious diseases there.
