News - Yemen: The city of Abyan witnessed angry protests against the US-Saudi aggression and the local administration over the deteriorating living conditions.

The protesters raised banner calling for the departure of the appointed governor from the US-Saudi aggression, and the overthrow of the mercenary government and its presidential council.

For his part, the governor of Aden, Tariq Salam, warned of the collapse of the economic and security in the occupied southern governorates due to the spread of corruption, the looting of the public treasury and the smuggling of foreign currency outside the country.

Governor Salam indicated that the difficult economic situation in Aden and the high costs of living imposed by the Saudi-backed government herald a humanitarian catastrophe and target citizens' daily income, which has been exacerbated by the conflict between the tools of the aggression.

He pointed out that the conflict and the military build-up taking place in Aden has depleted the state's resources in favor of mercenaries who seek to inflame and detonate the situation for personal interests.

Salam pointed out that the massive corruption experienced by state institutions, the looting of the state treasury, and the smuggling of hard currency outside the country by mercenaries exacerbated the difficulties in Aden and the occupied provinces.
