News – Yemen: A rights group condemned on Saturday condemned the crime of assassinating the director of the World Food Program office in the city of Turbah, which is under the US-Saudi aggression.

In a statement, Insan Organization for Rights and Freedoms held the US-Saudi-backed government, the UAE-backed transitional council in the province responsible for this heinous crime.

The statement demanded that the perpetrators and those involved to be arrested and handed over to justice so that they receive their punishment.
 
The organization called on all international and local human rights organizations, led by the International Human Rights Council, to condemn this heinous crime and to pressure the concerned parties to take responsibility.

Governorates under the control of the forces of US-Saudi aggression and Saudi-Emirati occupation are witnessing security chaos, and almost daily crimes. In addition to kidnapping, bombings and clashes between militants fighting for influence, people in southern Yemen witness an increase in the number of assassinations involving military personnel, security leaders, religious and social figures.

Recently, the UAE-baked transitional militia in Abyan governorate was reported to kidnap and torture a citizen to death.

The citizen, Muhammad Hassan, was kidnapped from a checkpoint affiliated with the transitional council militia in Abyan governorate on July 9, while he was on his way back to Shabwa Governorate after spending the Eid vacation with his family.

Activists confirmed on social media that the corpse of Muhammad Hassan was found recently in a hospital in Abyan with signs of torture on his body.
