News - Yemen: The Minister of Defense affirmed Monday that the Red Sea, Bab al-Mandab, the Gulf of Aden, and the strategic area of ​​the Arabian Sea and the Indian Ocean, are the geopolitical scope of the Yemeni Armed Forces and the defense policy of Yemen.

Minister Al-Atifi conveyed to the members of the naval forces the greetings of the leader of the revolution, Sayyed Abdulmalik Al-Houthi, congratulating them on the success of the recent tests, which were conducted on a number of naval missiles and modern and advanced gunboats.

He added: “At this stage we are living through exceptional events, circumstances, and many developments that have begun to take place in the region, which requires us to keep pace with them.”

“Today, Yemen is the sovereign national decision-maker under the wise leadership, and he is the one who speaks, and everyone should listen to him well," he emphasized.

He added, "Strengthening and developing Armed Forces is one of our priorities because of its great importance in achieving professional combat superiority in the face of the enemies of Yemen."

He affirmed that the Red Sea, the Gulf of Aden, and the Bab al-Mandab are a navigational course that serves the whole world, and international and regional trade. ”We are committed to securing it,” he commented in this regard.

He pointed out that the US-Saudi aggression and occupation, imposing aggressive maritime control over ports, islands and territorial waters is the terrorism, indicating that the countries of aggression are the ones who created and financed their terrorist individuals. 

Major General Al-Atifi warned that the illegal presence of the occupation in Yemeni territorial waters would have a very high cost, and that any agreement signed with any country or regime regarding any military or security deals, or arrangements affecting national sovereignty, are considered suspicious and illegal agreements.

"We will face the challenge with challenge, escalation with escalation, bombing with bombing, occupation with resistance, maneuvers with practical application, peace with peace, “ he added.

Commenting on the commando operations, which disturb the temporary Zionist enemy's usurper of the Palestinian lands, he said: "Every bullet and combative commando operation carried out by the free youth in Palestine is a medal that is honored by Yemeni People before any people."

He noted that the time has come to eradicate the malignant tumor (Israeli entity) from the body of the Arab and Islamic nation, and that the Yemenis will remain supportive of the Palestinian resistance until the liberation of Palestine, and the purification of Al-Aqsa from the filth of Zionism.

For his part the Commander of the Naval Forces, Major General Abdel Nabi, said: "The tasks of the naval forces and coastal defense in the future is to expand the scope of its combat operations in the maritime areas, and to a level beyond that."

He explained that "the development achieved by the naval forces in terms of rebuilding them and enhancing their combat capabilities made us very optimistic in the leadership of the naval forces and coastal defense, and we aspire for these forces to be a striking force and a large part of the deterrent forces of the Yemeni Armed Forces."
