Insan organization in Germany Calls for Lifting Blockade on Yemen

News – Yemen: Insan Organization for Human Rights and Peace in Germany called on the US-Saudi Aggression to lift the blockade on the Yemeni people and on its airports and sea ports, stressing that this is a human right guaranteed by all laws.

In a statement, Saturday, the organization called for the complete and immediate opening of Sana'a International Airport, as it is causing hardships to millions of civilians.

It indicated that Sana'a International Airport serves more than 30 million Yemenis living in Yemen and millions of Yemenis residing abroad.

The organization confirmed that the closure of the airport in Sana'a contributed to the humanitarian catastrophe unfolding before our eyes, which was called (the worst humanitarian crisis).

The organization considered that the continued closure of Sana'a airport does not contribute to the achievement of any significant military objectives, and the only result that has been achieved is the collective suffering of civilians.

The Yemeni community in Germany condemned the continuation of the countries of the US-Saudi-Emirati aggression coalition in restricting and closing Sana'a International Airport to travelers and patients, stressing the importance and necessity of considering the closure of Sana'a Airport, and the death of hundreds of sick cases as a result, as war crimes and genocide that require the trial of the countries of aggression.

A number of officials in Sana'a reaffirmed that the continuation of the siege imposed on Sana'a Airport negatively affected patients and exacerbated the problem of the stranded.

"Large numbers of Yemeni patients are stranded due to limited flights to Sana'a Airport," Transport Minister Abdulwahhab Al-Durra said.

Al-Durra pointed out that the role of the UN in the Sana'a Airport issue and opening travel destinations for patients to Cairo and India was negative and obstructive.

Meawhile, the head of the Supreme Medical Committee, Dr. Mutahar Al-Darwish, confirmed that the aggression’s tampering with the number of flights to the only destination exacerbated the problem of patients and travelers stranded.

He pointed out that the US-Saudi aggression deliberately keeps the patients suffering through limited flights and travel requirements through Sana'a Airport and preventing the entry of foreign crews to provide medical assistance.
