News - Yemen: Children of journalist Manaa Suleiman, who is detained in Marib, issued a plea to the authorities of the city, which is under the Saudi-mercenaries’ control, to release their father, who was arrested by the military police due to freedom of speech.

The daughters of the detainee carried out a protest holding signs that read "Release our father, No to military trials."

Journalist Manaa Suleiman, 36 years old, was arrested by the Saudi-backed military police on June 18, 2022, under the pretext of insulting religious beliefs. However, relatives of the activist confirmed that it was based on political directives due to Suleiman's activity on social media.

Many civil society organizations and human rights groups have called for the release of journalist Manaa Suleiman and the condemnation of the arbitrary detention by the authorities in Marib, which has caused great suffering for his family, as they have lost their sole breadwinner.
