News - Yemen: President Mahdi Al-Mashat, head of the Supreme Political Council, affirmed that deterrence weapons are ready to target US-Saudi aggression and to stop their plots.

"We are taking advantage of the de-escalation stage to develop Rocketry Forces, drones, to gain the sovereignty of Yemen," he said.

President Al-Mashat stressed that the priority set by Sayyed Abdulmalik is to confront the US-Saudi aggression and siege, pointing out that the aggression against Yemen is still going on, therefore confronting it must remain at the top of the list. He pointed out that the US Marines are roaming in Hadramaut, "therefore we must stay prepared for any escalation."

President Al-Mashat touched on the reality that the occupied areas are experiencing brutal crimes which citizens are subjected to, the latest of which is the crime against a citizen in Sabar Al-Mawadim, Taiz.

The President also stressed that "our second priority is the stability of the internal front and unity of society to confront the US-Saudi aggression."

He explained that one of the major mistakes was to hold the national forces responsible for the economic suffering, noting the importance of exposing the enemies' plots, their looting of wealth and their occupation of parts of the country.

Since the beginning of the de-escalation phase, the countries involved in aggression have not committed to reducing the escalation economically, humanitarianly, and even militarily as they should. Air strikes have stopped to some extent with the exception of drone attacks in the West Coast and border areas. 

The countries involved in aggression have maintained a state of war by procrastinating in resolving the humanitarian situation, continuing the blockade, and complicating the disbursement of state employees wages. 

Last month, Minister of Defense Mohammed Al-Atefi affirmed the readiness of the Yemeni Armed Forces to deal with any hostile operations, whether by the US-Saudi aggression or by its agents.

He explained that the aggressors are currently arranging its situation and preparing for the continuation of its aggression, and establishing its presence in the governorates, regions and islands under the Saudi-Emirati occupation.

The Minister of Defense stressed that the Yemeni Army has the full ability to benefit from its striking capabilities in confronting the aggressors, and to target the geographical depth of the US-Saudi aggression, and the vital and sensitive installations.
